From start to finish imaad has been fantastic keeping me updated at all times , responding to emails quickly and at times I missed his calls, I called the office back when I could do to my job and always got hold of him again , very helpful and a great result from getting the repairs finally done , no more severe mould and damp and other repairs, it’s been 2 years since the start of this claim but Veritas have been so helpful and professional and great results , thank you to everyone at Veritas and imaad is a credit to your company

Started off as a very promising journey however things quickly went downhill . Review relates specifically to a housing disrepair claim . After reaching a final settlement agreement . Point one of the final settlement agreement relates to (damages to be paid to be the client within 30 days of a signed agreement) .At this stage VERITAS requested my details for a BACS transfer and provided me a date I would be in receipt of the funds.After the 30 days elapsed VERITAS tried to inform me that the payment would be not be made until a post inspection was complete which was neither agreed in the part 36 or (FINAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT) one advisor confirmed VERITAS to be in receipt of the funds from the defendant however VERITAS were then quick to backtrack and deny this . This is where things went downhill there is now a huge breakdown in communication I was meant to recieve a call back and then get an email that my solicitor is ooo (out of office) . I have also not been informed of correspondance between VERITAS and the housing association nor have VERITAS been forthcoming when I put in a request for this . To sum it up a promising journey that quickly went downhill . I am now at the stage of preparing my case for independant review via the SRO (Solicitors regulation Authority) this is on the basis I have still not recieved the funds as promised and VERITAS have allowed the defendant to deviate from the original agreement and failed to provide transparency . Also I have been provided poor information at various stages of the case and I am still yet to recieve the funds even though VERITAS have confirmed to be in receipt of general damages . In my personal opinion avoid at all costs and if you have any similiar issues with veritas please feel free to contact me at sebjwright92@googlemail.com. ( If I reach a satisfactory conclusion and I am able to ascertain what has happened I will update my review appropriately. Unfortunately I have been contacted by several others who have had similiar experiences and I dont think I will ever recieve my money . I am currently collaborating a file to send to the compliance team at SRO .

THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE , TOOK THE COMPENSATION MONEY AND DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ,
NO HOUSING REPAIRS WERE CARRIED OUT , NO REPLIES TO EMAILS OR PHONE CALLS , AND MY SON IS STILL SICK FROM THE MOULD AND DAMP . THESE PEOPLE FEED OF OTHERS MISERY THEY PROFIT FROM IT . BE WARE THESE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE ARE MOST PROBABLY FABRICATED LIES

I contacted Veritas Solicitors about the damp and mould in my property and i have been building a case with Veritas Solicitors for 2years, My case was finally going to go to court tomorrow for disrepair against my landlord. 3 Solicitors and 2 Barristers have looked over my case against my landlord over the last 2years for the disrepair and only yesterday i got told that my case was to weak and didn't have enough evidence and the Judge would rule against me with all the evidence i had in my file that took 2years to build. I have got countless photos and videos that i have took over the last 2years for evidence that Veritas Solicitors asked me to put together and send as evidence. What i'm not happy with is that why was it left in till 2days before my case was going to the courts i was told that my case didn't stand a chance when i was made to believe from day one that my case was strong and i had a good chance of winning and why did Veritas Solicitors take on my case if they knew that it would of ended this way.
I understand some things just doesn't work out the way they are suppose to but i honestly believe Veritas Solicitors left it to late to tell me that my case wasn't going to go to court and yesterday i was told if i went against they advise and went to court of my own back i would have to pay the cost of everything and when i explained to Veritas Solicitors from the start i'm not in a good financial situation where i can afford the costs that would have come along with my case that's why i was greatful i had they help but after receiving the message yestersay it left me feeling angry because i had explained to Veritas Solicitors from the beginning that i didn't have that kind of money so i felt like i was pushed in to a corner and had no choice but to let my landlord win without any consequences.
I am giving my honest opinion and i would say to anyone please be careful because i wouldn't want you to have to go through hell like i have for the past 2years with my landlord then be told 2days before your case is going to court that your case is not strong enough and to drop the case at last minute and the people that's made my life living hell for the past 2years as got away with it and i think it's very unfair because my landlord can afford to pay for the very best of everything so in the end they will always win in my opinion. It's amazing what you can do when you got money.
Thank you Veritas Solicitors for letting me down at last minute after fighting for 2years, The last 2years as been a massive waste of my time and its left me feeling very upset, annoyed and frustrated that i didn't get complete honesty from the beginning.
