Initially upon instructing Versus Law Solicitors the communication was great and the assistants gathered the information required from ourselves quickly and effectively. There was a quiet period whilst the solicitors were back and forth with queries but as we neared completion deadline Kushada Ganegama was handed the file to complete. She has excellent communication skills and worked alongside us to make sure the deal was completed satisfactorily. I would use Versus Law Solicitors again but would ask for Kushada as my acting solicitor.

I instructed Versus Law for a FTB purchase of a flat in Whalley Range, which unfortunately fell through after an utterly horrific 14-month ordeal due to the incompetence of the seller's solicitors. I am grateful to Chima then Andrew who took over the file for putting up with them, and especially to the latter who waivered my final bill in recognition of how awful my experience had been. Despite losing the flat, this gesture truly lifted my spirits. I have rated Versus 4 stars, just on the basis of some communication issues early on in the process, however the complaint I made was dealt with and responded to professionally. I will use them for my next purchase, which hopefully this time will be successful.

I used them for conveying on a purchase. The solicitor I had used several times previously (David Hensley at collier littler who had always been fantastic) did not want to deal with city centre apartments due to cladding legislation. Versus law was recommended to me by the estate agents whom I was purchasing the property through, Stevenson Whyte, who I assume get paid for the recommendation. It took around 7 months to complete, much longer than any previous purchase. My personal solicitor was very nice but incredibly hard to reach during the process. She would never answer the phone, I would leave several messages with the people at the firm and would never receive a call back. I would always end up waiting ages for a reply to any questions via email. Eventually after much prodding we completed and after specifically asking I was told all fees had been paid up to date. Months after completion I have discovered that I have not been registered as the owner and owe the freeholder money for registration. There is also 2 years ground rent outstanding which I am now liable for. It’s hard to believe that the fees were not mentioned in my completion statement and that the outstanding ground rent was not discovered prior to completion. I did specifically ask the question about fees and would assume that it’s just common practice to make sure there are no outstanding fees. I have put this to the person dealing with me post completion as my solicitor has since left the firm and I have been ignored. All in all quite a frustrating experience and i would definitely not recommend. I don’t like to leave negative reviews, I did not intend to leave a negative review following my poor experience during the process. Even after the process when I have discovered the extra fees and outstanding balance I didn’t want to leave a bad review. I felt obliged to do so after my questions on the matter were completely ignored without explanation or apology.

Great service from Versus Law Solicitors, especially Natalie Moylan. She answered all of my questions, kept me updated throughout the conveyancing process, and made everything straightforward. I would happily recommend Natalie and the team to anyone looking for a reliable conveyancing solicitor.

After a very stressful few months I am glad to say we completed today and moved in to our new home all thanks to the angel Kushada who was amazing from start to finish. Very well mannered and proactive with her replies we were kept informed of any updates as soon as they happened. Initially she was just our solicitor for our sale but it was incredible news for us to have her take over our purchase file too after we made a complaint about Chima who only emailed us once during the time he worked on our file as he did not seem to bother sending updates or communications at all and we were tired of having to chase. As the complaint was resolved by Versus promptly I won't talk in detail about it and it did not impact my rating but I thought I would mention it to fully describe my experience. In short, I do not regret at all using Versus and Kushada is a real pleasure to work with. 😀

Recently, I bought a house as a first-time buyer and didn’t know much about the process. "Versus Law Soliciors" made the whole journey easy and smooth. Their service was excellent and great value for money. Special thanks to my conveyancing solicitor, Mr. Chima Lungu, who was very fast in replying to emails and keeping me updated throughout.
