    Utterly awful experience

    If I could give zero stars, I would. Hennah Haywood Law has been the worst professional experience I’ve ever had. After my father in law’s death, their team promised to handle our house sale with care and efficiency — instead, it turned into five months of chaos, delays, and emotional stress. The solicitors didn’t understand basic legal requirements around the death certificate, and they incorrectly advised us about the death certificate requirements after my father-in-law’s passing, adding to an already distressing time and showing no compassion whatsoever. Communication was dreadful — emails were ignored, phone calls unanswered, voicemail permanently full. Hidden fees were added for things that were completely out of our control, and we had to chase constantly for updates that should have come automatically. Their incompetence delayed the sale so badly that our buyers ended up homeless. Only when an independent solicitor stepped in did anything start moving. This firm completely failed in professionalism, empathy, and basic competence. I wouldn’t trust them with even the simplest legal matter. Even after sending a lengthy formal letter of complaint a month ago, I still haven’t had a single reply back.

      Very good service and attention to detail

      We were recommended to use this firm by Skipton Building Society who were dealing with our re-mortgage and we couldn’t have been happier with them. They kept us updated throughout the transaction apart from when we transferred the monies we needed to pay just before completion. Not a huge criticism but an email just to say the monies had arrived in their account would have set our minds at ease. Danielle was excellent and kept us informed 100% of the time. I think the monies side of things were dealt by Chloe but on the other hand she was very good in confirming the actual amount required from us to complete. I would wholeheartedly recommend HH Law .

      Conveyancing is still personal

      We used HH Law when we sold our home, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for better support. Anytime we needed information or had questions, the team replied quickly and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. Everyone was great, but Kate really stood out. She handled everything with total professionalism and was always friendly, approachable, and easy to deal with - especially over email. At one point, Newport Council seemed determined to throw every obstacle they could at us, but Kate handled it brilliantly and somehow managed to stay upbeat throughout it all. A huge thank you to Kate and everyone at HH Law for supporting us through the whole sale. We genuinely appreciate everything you did for us.
