Fantastic Solicitor

Tom has been an invaluable legal rock from our first phone call over 18 months ago. When I first contacted Tom I was in a very bad place. Tom took the time to listen to what had happened and to get to know my case. My case has been very complex and must have been taxing for Tom at times, however he has always remained professional. Tom has worked tirelessly on my case and showed genuine care, he's always kept in touch, and responded quickly and thoroughly to my many, many emails.
I hope my time in family court is over, but if I find myself back there Tom is the only solicitor I would ever use. Similarly, if I come across anyone in need of legal representation I will always send them Tom's way because I know he will always do his best to get the best results for his clients. I can't thank Tom and his team enough and I wish him all the best for what I'm sure will be a very successful legal career.

My relationship broke down in 2020 during lockdown. My partner was very difficult and went out of his way to make things harder than they needed to be. There were properties and a business involved.

Tom was brilliant from the get go. His advice was clear and factual. He never promised me anything and was realistic. It sounds corney but it was like he was on this journey with me. He could understand my frustration at the time things took with the legal system and when I got ahead of myself he would explain why he thought it best we didn’t go down a certain path.

Tom has a human side and he has the fight in him that you need from a solicitor acting for you.

Tom will always be my go to solicitor.

I can honestly say that I would never move house unless I knew Laura would be able to be our solicitor.

Nothing is ever too much trouble and she always goes above and beyond. She is honest and installs complete confidence throughout the whole process.

Laura has moved us 3 times now and each time she has made everything so easy for us. As moving house is such a stressful time it’s amazing to know that you never have to worry with Laura looking after everything.

I highly recommend Laura to anyone thinking of moving.

We were recommended to use Laura Brett at Biscoes in Ryde and what a great recommendation it was! Laura’s attention to detail was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. As our sale and purchase was taking place during Covid-19, we obviously had concerns about being able to complete but even though we had a number of problems (in particular with the seller solicitor) etc, these were all dealt with very professionally and promptly (by responding to emails and phone calls quickly). Most importantly, we were kept fully up to date with what was happening during such an extremely stressful time, this made the whole experience that much easier; something that is difficult to find these days! We would happily recommend others to instruct Laura at Biscoes if selling a property! Thanks so much Laura!

Historically, the longserving Portsmouth based firms of Biscoe Smith, Heather and Bellinger, Cousins Burbidge & Connor and Lyndhurst Groves merged in 1994 to form Biscoes Cousins Groves. In 2004 in the Firm's 150th year, Biscoes absorbed Wilkinson & Co and merged with King and Franckeiss, both well respected local firms. Subsequently in 2005 a merger with Covers added a Petersfield office to an already impressive list of locations, which was closely followed by the opening of an office in Gosport. In 2006 a Portchester branch was created following the link up with the long established practice of Barry Swanton & Co. In 2018 Biscoes merged with Gurney Champion & Co & Heyes Saumuel in Ryde, Isle of Wight. Biscoes continues to move confidently into the 21st Century, whilst remaining steadfastly committed to the provision of a traditional and locally based legal service. Located in offices close to you.
