I initially approached BISCOES by 'phone to obtain a quote for independent legal advice for a post nuptial agreement, as it is local to me. I found it to be comparable with other quotes and it was made clear at the outset what work would be undertaken for the fee. The appointment was made quickly and at a convenient time. I attended the office for the initial consultation where Liam went through the document very carefully and fully explained the paragraphs with examples of possible scenarios. He recommended minor alterations to the document. I felt comfortable and unrushed and was kept informed as to the next steps by Liam in person and by e-mail via his secretary Caitlin. A further appointment was made swiftly when the final document was ready to be signed. The office is small and the staff welcoming, Liam is friendly and approachable and was very thorough. I wouldn't hesitate in using BISCOES again.

Initially I found Franca to be slightly abrupt, but as time has gone on I have respected this and she has always set my expectations from court to so I'm realistic about what's achievable. She set clear boundaries with the other party, and showed strength which helped me to do the same.
I really appreciate her and everything she had done to help my case. The outcome we achieved was very good and I'm pleased I chose Franca to represent me.
If you take the time to be friendly and get to know her style, she will repay your with kindness and her caring nature. She is child focused over anything else, a fantastic family lawyer.

Franca with her many years experience is like the British version of watching Judge Judy. She knows her customers and can smell a Rat from far. She is firm but fair. Historically, the longserving Portsmouth based firms of Biscoe Smith, Heather and Bellinger, Cousins Burbidge & Connor and Lyndhurst Groves merged in 1994 to form Biscoes Cousins Groves. In 2004 in the Firm's 150th year, Biscoes absorbed Wilkinson & Co and merged with King and Franckeiss, both well respected local firms.
