In the 30 years since I last moved house, the workload, documentation, agencies involved and obviously costs have changed considerably. It used to be a nice little extra earner for Solicitors, now it is a whole department. That, apparently is progress? On a serious note, the solicitor acting for me and my wife went more than the extra mile, by bailing out a Solicitor acting for another party to do with our buyers, who clearly did not know how to do the work and fill documents. This caused a delay of 4 months and very nearly scuppered the whole thing.

Our recent experience with Muss Burton Law - specifically with Gail Anthony and her team managing the conveyancing for our private property sale - has been incredibly positive. We’ve been through conveyancing for purchases and sales with different firms before, and have had pretty awful experiences. These are including and not limited to having our file given to numerous different solicitors like it’s a game of pass the parcel, lack of updates, being effectively non contactable, and a lack of transparency.
