I would strongly advise prospective clients to exercise caution before instructing this firm. In my experience, additional work was carried out without my authorisation, resulting in unexpected costs. When I raised concerns about this, rather than addressing the issues constructively, I received threats of legal action from Chris Hugo, a Partner at the firm. I found this approach to be intimidating, unprofessional, and wholly inappropriate in the context of a solicitor-client relationship. I instructed this firm in good faith and expected transparency, clear communication, and a professional response to legitimate concerns. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on my experience, I would not use this firm again and would recommend that anyone seeking professional, client-focused legal representation considers alternative solicitors.
