It's not often you can praise solicitors and from experience, when buying and selling your home they can often lead to more stress. However this time we used Carty's solicitors in Hamilton and the process went so smoothly from start to finish! The team were always on hand to answer calls or emails when needed and each communication never felt like a bother to them either. It was a pleasure to use them and they were a breath of fresh air in comparison to previous experiences with other solicitors. Sinead in particular was fantastic to deal with and dealt with everything quickly and efficiently for us at every turn. So much so, we viewed, made an offer, bought sold and moved... within just 8 weeks!!!! Highly recommend to anyone needing legal help, in particular conveyancing and house moves.

Polite and knowledgeable staff

Had an incredibly unprofessional experience with solicitor Jim Toner. I needed a consent letter signed with a professional witness, but he made a spelling mistake in my surname. When we noticed the error and asked him to fix it, he simply crossed it out with a strike-through rather than correcting it properly. We had to book a completely new appointment to get it done right. When it was finally signed, I pointed out that this mistake cost us a lot of extra time and inconvenience. Instead of offering an apology, he arrogantly claimed that "they don't use that format of surnames in Scotland." I responded that he could have easily used his eyes to look at my driving license which was provided to him. To receive absolutely no apology for his own mistake, paired with such an arrogant attitude, is completely unacceptable. Highly unprofessional service—avoid like the plague.

Made my first ever home purchase with Cartys. Leanne and Jim couldn’t have been more helpful. The process was smooth and everything was completed promptly. For someone who doesn’t know much about these things, Cartys made it very easy and are extremely efficient. Definitely recommend!
