Toooo Long to get any response back from the solicitor
I have completed a cash(no mortgage) purchase of a house through Adkirk Law. It was almost a year ago I instructed them on my cash purchase. Initially things moved swiftly and then everything get stuck ehen it reached the Solicitor to progress to next step. When I try and follow up on phone the solicitor was never available and the assistants take massage and say the solicitor will call back. but she never called back and I may get an email response a few days(weeks) later. Te Estate Agent was following up on a regular basis to progress the case but to no avail. I think the transaction was delayed by 4 to 6 months due to delays caused by the firm as I was seeing all other parts were progressing on a timely manner inline with prevalent timelines for a transaction like this. I have been charges some lender/mortgage fee. I did raise the question a few time seeking clarification about the item. As usual I did not get any response form the solicitor. As the transaction was already delayed so much I paid the amount to progress the transaction to completion. After completion I did request the solicitor about the complaints procedure as I was concerned about amount of time it took to complete a cash purchase transaction. Just to kee this in context. I have instructed another purchase with moth mortgage two months after instructing Adkirk and the transaction was completed two months ahead of Adkirk's Thanks
