Experienced multiple issues with my file being swapped olbetween various cash handlers. Always needed to chase them for an update and when we finally did complete they sent us the documents for a different property to the one we purchased. Also after a year of living at the new address, it turns out that they hadn't given notice to the landlord so they weren't aware the property had changed ownership.

If I could give zero or negative stars then I would. We bought a leasehold property using PLS. The response times were appalling, they only respond when chased by phone. Emails are ignored, sometimes even when you call you're placed on hold and then hung up on. On Fridays it is impossible to get hold of anyone. They failed to complete an important document which effectively invalidated the sale after we had exchanged. Fortunately the sellers solicitor was prepared to back-date a document. They failed to update the land registry, we only discovered this after contacting the land registry ourselves more than a year later. Even after letting them know that the land registry were still waiting for information it took 4 months for them to respond, and when they did respond - it was to expedite one of the title changes (forgetting the second!). More than 18 months after the property was purchased they still haven't notified the land registry of the second title change. Beware of this firm.

Avoid this firm. It’s been over 3 years since my property transaction was supposedly completed, and I am still waiting for my Land Registry to be finalised. Every time I try to get an update, they pass me from one person to another, and the only response I ever get is: “We are waiting for an email response.” There is no urgency, no accountability, and no transparency. My calls are either ignored or answered by different people who know nothing about my case. It feels like they are just trying to delay things indefinitely without taking any real action. If you value your time, peace of mind, or proper legal service — go elsewhere.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience over the past two years. Unfortunately, I’ve found the process to be quite frustrating and disorganised. The communication platform you use has been difficult to navigate, and it’s often felt nearly impossible to get timely responses or updates from your team or associated agents. Throughout the process, I’ve had to chase documents and certificates on your behalf multiple times, which I hadn’t anticipated as part of my role. Most recently, I’ve been following up on the Land Registry, which remains incomplete nearly two years after completion. While I was initially advised this would take 12 to 18 months, I’ve now been told there are still pending certificates. However, upon contacting the relevant parties directly, I’ve confirmed these were provided over in April 2024 (14 months ago). I’ve also noticed a recurring tendency to shift responsibility for delays onto others, which has made it difficult to get clear answers or resolution. Given this experience, I would not feel comfortable recommending your services moving forward. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe there’s room for improvement in both communication and accountability.

Unprofessional

I wouldn’t recommend this company as they have hidden charges that they only bring to light once you’ve made your first payment, so then it feel like entrapment and when you try to call them directly to discuss they continually end your call so you can’t get through to them

I wish I read the reviews first

Outright unprofessional shambolic bunch. We couldn't take anything they said for granted as they were so untrustworthy. Key steps missed which has cost us money. We complained and their own internal review agreed and even gave a us a discount (despite the review not being carried out when they said it would be- untrustworthy). Even with the discount we still feel very hard done by. Do not use.

PLS - Pretty awful from start to still not yet finished !!!!

I had to deal with this firm, as they were on the panel for my mortgage ... awful from start to finish. So many errors .... incorrect billing ... double billing ... failure to call back ... slow to respond ... final report wrong, missing words, incomplete. Save the stress and use someone else.

Currently in the process of selling and purchasing two properties with PLS. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been disappointing. We’ve encountered a lack of attention to detail, slow customer service responses, and what appears to be inadequate due diligence on several matters. These issues have caused significant frustration and have left us concerned about whether we will complete within the timescales we were initially expecting. Umm’ing and aww’ing about leaving this review.. I completed my purchase on the 8th December 2025. This solicitors are like most others; communication throughout the process had to be constantly chased to get updates. Nearing the completion date all went quiet, and after chasing it turned out the guy who was handling my purchase was fired. After getting the keys and inspecting the house, we noted that the sellers had not adhered to the Fixtures and Fittings form, and they had left a lot of trash. We quickly contacted the solicitors who claimed to have contacted the seller’s solicitors but ceased communication soon after. The biggest thing I was let down by is this: a week or so after finalising the purchase I found money in the house, and by ‘money’ I mean approximately £200k. I reached out to PLS and they wanted nothing to do with it, they were not interested in helping me at all. Their after sales support is non existent and I wouldn’t recommend them at all.
