The lack of working efficiently led me to lose out on the remortgage case which I had lost thousands of pounds and 6 months on, I am still trying to sort out tge mess Armi cost me. Do not even touch them. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. And in the end they had sent me an abortive bill nearly thousand pound for the work they didn’t do.

Charged 2.5 times the estimated fee for a very poor service

Given mandate early December for remortgage to be completed by end of January, but in early March things were still pending while I was paying loads of interests. Most of my calls and email were ignored. Final bill was 2.5 times of what was estimated, even if they had a clear understanding of what they had to do from very beginning. Highly unprofessional. To avoid at any rate

Appalling level of service

Numerous time when trying to sell our property, did not reply to the buyers solicitors correspondence. Numerous time failed to contact when requested to do so. The worst thing - our solicitor quit and lost all of our house documents and we nearly lost our house sale, had we have not rang up and asked for an update we would have been sat waiting wondering why our house hadn’t sold. Lack of professionalism, do not respond to emails, long waits on the phone, avoid at all costs because you are in fact paying for a service…

Very disappointing service. Communication was poor and it was extremely difficult to get clear explanations or updates throughout the process. Matters dragged on for months with little proactive guidance, which caused unnecessary frustration and wasted time. Overall a stressful experience and not the level of service I expected from a professional firm. I would not recommend.

Don’t go with this solicitor if you want them to call you back, I’ve called everyday for the past 14 days and been told my solicitor will call me back on 7 spectate occasions and they never do. I asked a colleague to advise on an email 3 days ago but no action has been taken. I don’t doubt they do there job as any conveyancing solicitor would but the customer service is the worst I’ve seen. If you say you’re going to call back, call back, it’s basic respect.

The worst most incompetent solicitors. Because of them I have been stuck on a variable rate for months and looks like it will be that way for some time due to their negligence and incompetence. They are unprofessional, unresponsive and they do not care about whatever position they put you in. I have written two formal complaints and reported them to the legal ombudsman who are handling it for me. The amount of distress they have caused me I wouldn’t wish it on my enemy. There reviews are fake because my experience has been the total opposite. If you know you want solicitors that know what they are doing then do not do business with them as it has been nothing but a horrible experience.

From the onset, it was clear that PLS would be more expensive than others. This would have been acceptable if it came with a corresponding level of professionalism and expertise. Unfortunately, my experience suggests otherwise - I found them to be disorganised and lacking in competence throughout the process. One issue involved the withdrawal of funds from our Lifetime ISAs. PLS charged £150 per withdrawal, but in return provided little to no service. In my case, they sent the wrong forms and offered no guidance, leaving me to figure out the correct procedure myself. Had I filled out the form they provided, I would have been charged an additional 25% on top of my withdrawal. Essentially, I paid £150 just for someone to sign and date a document that I had to provide - there was no real expertise involved. For comparison, other solicitors we considered charged around £0-£50 for the same service—PLS charged three times as much and delivered far less. PLS also caused delays that ended up costing us financially. A simple failure to take proper notes during a phone call meant our process was pushed back, forcing us to pay an additional month’s rent. This wasn’t an isolated incident - phone communication throughout was unreliable and frustrating. After exchange, we encountered further issues. We were sent documents watermarked "DRAFT" and after querying we were reassured we just needed sign and return them. After doing so - having arranged a witness and everything - we were informed that the wrong documents had been sent and we needed to sign the final versions instead (without the "DRAFT" watermark). This was another unnecessary inconvenience caused by a lack of attention to detail. If you’re still considering PLS, be extremely cautious when using their portal. They frequently attempt to add a variety of additional absurd charges. In our case, we noticed unexpected extra fees added to our file, which were suspiciously retracted without explanation after we queried them. It gave the impression that they were testing whether the fees would go unnoticed. The PLS mobile apps were particularly poor - the save function didn’t work, and the forms differed from those on the web-based version, leading to further confusion. The web-based portal was slightly better, but not my much. --Edit-- After multiple mistakes and repeated communication failures, the senior staff at PLS still claim they did nothing wrong, despite other members identifying faults. Feels like they just want a quick cash grab without caring about the stress and costs they cause to their clients.

Unprofessional

I wouldn’t recommend this company as they have hidden charges that they only bring to light once you’ve made your first payment, so then it feel like entrapment and when you try to call them directly to discuss they continually end your call so you can’t get through to them

I wish I read the reviews first

Outright unprofessional shambolic bunch. We couldn't take anything they said for granted as they were so untrustworthy. Key steps missed which has cost us money. We complained and their own internal review agreed and even gave a us a discount (despite the review not being carried out when they said it would be- untrustworthy). Even with the discount we still feel very hard done by. Do not use.

PLS - Pretty awful from start to still not yet finished !!!!

I had to deal with this firm, as they were on the panel for my mortgage ... awful from start to finish. So many errors .... incorrect billing ... double billing ... failure to call back ... slow to respond ... final report wrong, missing words, incomplete. Save the stress and use someone else.

As first-time buyers, we expected guidance and support throughout the process. Instead, we often felt like we were left chasing for answers ourselves. Communication post completion has been particularly poor, with emails going unanswered and promised callbacks never happening. We even had to submit a formal complaint just to get a response. Whilst the complaint has been acknowledged, we are still waiting for answers to several urgent questions weeks after completion. We previously left a 5-star review, but unfortunately have since removed it. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but our post-completion experience has been mega frustrating

Currently in the process of selling and purchasing two properties with PLS. Unfortunately, our experience so far has been disappointing.
