The Pros: Transparent Pricing: The initial quote of £2323.16 (inc VAT) was broken down clearly, which I appreciated. Modern System: The digital setup and online portal are far superior to the old pen-and-paper methods, and having a dedicated team should, in theory, keep things moving quickly. The Cons: Pushy Marketing: The onboarding process felt overly aggressive; I only instructed them because of an estate agent recommendation. Inaccurate Portal: The online percentage tracker stagnated at around 60% even when exchange was imminent, defeating its purpose. Communication Black Hole: It took four weeks of constant chasing to finalise simple indemnity insurance. Worse still, their slow response times caused us to miss our original exchange date of 5/5/26, pushing back the completion timeline. Admin Inefficiency: Despite requesting my mortgage details months prior, they panicked at exchange and made me chase the bank for a redemption statement. My bank confirmed AVRillo could have pulled this securely via Lender’s Exchange in 3 hours. When I told them this, they requested my account number again even though they had access to this info. Lack of Internal Coordination: They continuously harassed both myself and my estate agents for a commission invoice that had already been sent three separate times. Nobody seems to check the inbox before firing off automated, daily chasing emails. I wouldn't recommend them!
