Great legal service

Owen White Catlin, and in particular, James, gave me very clear advice and assistance from the outset in my divorce case. Due to lack of cooperation from the other party, this was a protracted business lasting approximately seven years.
Despite the stop/start nature that we experienced, James was able to proceed to a successful conclusion, giving excellent and clear advice all the way; helping me with aspects of the process that I had to deal with myself.
Our conversations were friendly and his explanation of the legal process was clear and concise. His work with the court was timely and the follow up excellent.
I will continue to use OWC for my legal needs.

Ok if you’re the female!

Being the male and feeling like my pants have been pulled down, this is a very one sided opinion, but…
We appointed James as a Mediator to help us come to an agreement we would both feel was fair. There were a couple of things discussed early in the sessions that seemed to be dismissed by James as the sessions progressed that I feel should have made a difference to the outcome. To me, it felt very one sided with James almost telling my ex what she was entitled to. When I said “just because you are entitled to something doesn’t mean you have to take it, there needs to be some morale fairness” I felt dismissed and like my ex was very much being favoured.
I was initially happy to go with James as I first felt he would be very impartial, and although he was only using his professional knowledge of the system, it felt like nothing went in my favour at all as the male.
I would say on the positive, James was fair and reasonable with his charges.

Trustworthy, kind and efficient solicitors

I would like to submit feedback on my experience with Owen White and Catlin Solicitors. Specifically Ginny and Anne at the Shepperton office. They were absolutely fantastic and took all the stress out of what could have been a stressful transaction where I was using my mothers inheritance to buy extra shares of my property from the housing association. The MTVHA are notoriously difficult to deal with and Anne was fantastic in getting them to action the necessary things we needed. Ginny was also fantastic with her communication and they both had a great kind and down to earth approach which I really liked. I will not hesitate to recommend them and I intend to use them again imminently to help extend my lease and purchase the last 10% of my property from the housing association.
