I was towards the end of my divorce. I paid under a fixed fee payment spread over two seperate payments for Rebecca and Stella from family first to write my consent order , raise a D81 , and produce a net effect schedule and present these to court. I had come to a point in my divorce and so had my wife where the ongoing stress had put us in the position of just wanting a resolution. Rebecca and Stella provided this solution after receiving instructions from me. They did as I asked and got it done quickly! The material was presented to the judge and they signed off on it. My wife and I were delighted with this outcome and very relieved that the worst of our divorce was over. The communication was good throughout and I believe family first solicitors are mindful of the financial strains that a divorce brings. I would not hesitate to recommend family first to anyone but I do feel I was lucky with the team I chose however all the solicitors at family first will follow the same set of rules when it comes to dealing with clients. Family First have been so helpful. They are down to earth and expert. They completely understand the dynamics of coercive control. This was central to my case. They operate a pay as you go model, which was essential as I wasn't able to fully instruct a solicitor and allowed me to take advice on an ad hoc basis, while instructing a barrister on a direct access basis.
