Top 10 of 2,123 law firms for Court Attendance, Crime/ Criminal Defence

Law firms ranked by client reviews

Court Attendance covers the solicitor’s work when a client must appear before a court in criminal proceedings, from initial charging through to disposition. A solicitor prepares and reviews the case file, speaks with prosecutors, and accompanies the client to hearings. They advise on pleas, gather and present evidence, apply for bail or warrants, and handle applications to the court. The process is shaped by the Crown Prosecution Service, magistrates’ and Crown Courts, and relevant criminal procedure rules.

Where a solicitor protects your position

The solicitor protects the client’s position at time-sensitive hearings and pivotal decisions, such as bail, plea negotiations, or committal to higher courts. They rely on regulated conduct, client accounts, and professional regulation to ensure procedures are followed and rights are safeguarded at every court event.

Gareth Needs and his team were very helpful and clear in all the advise given. They were as much concerned about my personal welfare as much as the criminal case I was accused of. Hopefully I wont need his help again but would recommend him to anyone else who found themselves in the same situation I was in.

I was going to represent myself when my friend said to my I think you need a solicitor. Amanda ended up representing me. She was so hands on from the very beginning, reassured me and kept me in the loop with everything so I ended up going from a bag of nerves to going in with confidence. I ended up getting half the sentence I would have if I would have represented myself. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome thanks to Amanda and would 100% recommend to anyone who is needing to go to court. They know their stuff!

John Ruane

Tagged solicitor John Ruane

First and foremost, I cannot thank John Ruane enough for his efforts, communications and overall handling of my case. I was originally arrested and released under investigation for causing serious injury by dangerous driving early in 2023, John was very informative on the situation and provided possible outcomes and next steps. Through his determination and exceptional knowledge, John managed to get the charge dropped to a lesser offence of causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving. He was allways on hand to provide answers to my questions and would answer the phone out of hours. I was represented by Michael M at the 2 magistrates hearings and my first crown court hearing, Michael my appointed barrister was very informative and represented me well. John also put me in contact with a consultant Psychiatrist, and a diagnosis of ADHD was made, changing my life. For my sentencing John appointed John Dye, a highly respected barrister who managed to secure a suspended sentence despite the fact that a immediate custodial sentence was the likely outcome. I cannot thank JHR Solicitors, John Ruane, Michael Mckeown & John Dye enough, you have given me a second chance at life and my children still have a father around to provide for them. If anyone is looking for a defence to a motoring charge. John/JHR Solicitors is the firm to contact, 5 stars are not enough. Once again thankyou all so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Waqqas Ashraf

Tagged solicitor Waqqas Ashraf

I hired Wasqas from WA Legal to work on my criminal case and I cannot recommend him enough. From our very first consultation, Wasqas was transparent, highly responsive and took the time to explain every step of a complex legal process in plain English. What stood out was his dedication and calm demeanour during a very stressful time for me. He was quick to answer my questions and kept me fully informed of any updates. If you need a skilled and trustworthy lawyer, who genuinely cares about their clients, then look no further. I would highly recommend this firm.
