At the beginning of the long process for Michael to be granted Leave to Remain we understood the basic legitimacy of our case but were completely unprepared for how complicated and protracted the Home Office process was. All of our friends and my family members were fully behind Michael being given the leave to remain and to make a new life in UK with the person he loved the most. Meeting Stephane through Islington Law Centre was such a relief as he listened to our case and shared our determination for a fair outcome and was able to guide us through the maze of Home Office rules and regulations. Having someone who believes in you and listens positively to you while gently guiding you through this protracted process has been invaluable in giving us both the strength to carry on. And now Michael can start to plan this next major stage of his life as he wants to continue his Law studies and hopes one day to be able to offer the same level of service, respect and support to the many people who find the need to negotiate UK legal system.
