After reaching an impasse with our co-freeholders about a licence to alter and with the back against the wall, we reached out to BP Collins Solicitors to help us out. Not a smooth process as potential purchasers changed the payment process (added in a second person offering funding) not far off completion date and then requested an earlier completion date which was inconvenient for us.

I used Devonalds Pontypridd to buy my first home - Alex and his team were wonderful. They used an app to share documents and communicate which meant it was incredibly easy to keep track of everything and response time was often within minutes. Everything was outlined clearly and I never felt like I was bothering them asking additional questions along the way. There were a couple of bumps along the way that needed sorting - Alex handled this all so the sale was very much stress free! I've already recommended Alex to a friend who's currently using him for the purchase of her first home too.

The team are very helpful but I did find I had to do a lot of chasing to get information about the progress of the case and unfortunately I had to go through the mortgage application twice as the offer had expired by the time we came to complete so this did delay the matter which I understand was partly my fault as I did not realise there was an expiry date. I am not aware of what the hold up was as I paid all of the outstanding amounts as soon as the requests were sent and any documents were signed and sent back in a timely manner so I can only assume the hold up was with the firm. Despite this, the case has now completed and I am grateful of the work that has been done and it was reassuring to me that I had people working on the case with extensive knowledge and experience with lease extensions.

Spent the last 10 months working through a complex exchange which involved multiple layers, including a dreaded DOV in relation to estate rent charges. Rachel and Jasmine, first and foremost responded to all my questions and requests for updates in a timely manner. You cannot underestimate the importance of this when going through a housing transaction.
