This covers buying the landlord’s freehold reversion when you already own a leasehold interest, a process often called enfranchisement or acquiring the freehold. A solicitor handles the technical steps, including assessing eligibility, serving and responding to notices under the Leasehold Reform legislation, negotiating with the freeholder, and arranging the transfer and registration of the new freehold title. The aim is to secure a lasting property interest and confirm the new ownership structure.

Rebecca Rinn

Tagged solicitor Rebecca Rinn

Initially when making enquiries into extending our lease, Rebecca Rinn answered all our questions in detail and provided helpful suggestions before we had even appointed her. We were very impressed. Once we were in a position to move forward, we were sure of our choice of solicitor and duly received comprehensive guidance and support from Rebecca through every stage of the process. Ours was an awkward negotiation with the landlord to acquire the freehold without collective enfranchisement. Rebecca helped us negotiate fair terms, and advised us on time scales putting sensible contingencies in place so we could complete in due course. We could not be more pleased with the quality of service we received. Thank you so much!
