Section 8 Notices are landlord notices issued under the Housing Act 1988 to regain possession of a rented home where grounds such as rent arrears, persistent delay, or other breaches apply. A solicitor drafts the notice, serves it on the tenant, and, if the ground is established, begins possession proceedings in the county court, gathering evidence, filing the claim, and representing the landlord at hearings to obtain a possession order and, if needed, an eviction warrant.
