This work covers switching from a Tier 4 (General) student visa to a spouse visa under UK family immigration rules. A solicitor analyses eligibility, including sponsor requirements, English language, accommodation, and financial maintenance, then drafts and files the application, compiles evidence of the relationship, and coordinates any required documents with the Home Office and UK Visas and Immigration. They may advise on switching in-country, timelines, and potential options if a new application is refused. They may also handle extensions or refusals and respond to requests for further information.

What a solicitor handles in these matters

A solicitor explains the key stages: confirming eligibility, preparing the sponsorship evidence, gathering financial documents, meeting English-language requirements, and filing the in-country application with UKVI. They also manage correspondence, respond to Home Office requests, and ensure deadlines and filing standards are observed to avoid delays or refusals.

I cannot recommend Elite Law Solicitors highly enough, and especially Neveen, who handled our case. The spouse visa process was incredibly stressful and emotional for us, but Neveen was professional, knowledgeable, patient and supportive throughout the entire process. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered our questions and guided us through each stage of the application. There were moments when we felt very anxious about the outcome, but having Neveen handling our case gave us reassurance and confidence that everything had been prepared correctly. I am absolutely delighted to say that my husband’s spouse visa was successfully granted, and we couldn’t be happier! ❤️ After everything we went through, receiving that approval was such an amazing moment for us. A huge thank you to Neveen and Elite Law Solicitors for all your hard work, professionalism and support. We are genuinely grateful for everything you did to help bring us one step closer to starting our life together in the UK. I would wholeheartedly recommend Neveen and Elite Law Solicitors to anyone looking for a professional, reliable and caring immigration solicitor. 5 stars without hesitation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rosa & Obi
