Selling your business- the legals

Selling your business you've spent years building is a stressful and scary prospect- you'll probably only do it once and you want it done right. Having a good legal team to guide you through the process is an absolute necessity. We found the commercial team at Ellisons to be personable, professional and very helpful through this unique (to us) period of time. Tight time scales and a wide range of issues, from lease legalities, commercial property sale issues, and sensitive commercial information about your business, there are a lot of hurdles to jump to get to an end goal. We were glad we chose Paul and his team at Ellisons, they worked diligently and professionally to lead us to the best result for us.

I received excellent service with good advice in a friendly manner from start to finish.

Selling a property can be an anxious procedure, but not in my experience with Ellisons. Absolutely First Class Service

I would like to thank Robyn Reid for her first class professional service during the sale of my Father's apartment. Robyn responded to all queries by return and always kept me in the loop. It was a complicated sale and Robyn was always there to advise and support. She worked really hard as the buyer and the buyer's Solicitors were difficult to deal with and very slow in moving things along. This is the second time Robyn has done the conveyancing for us and she was fantastic on both occasions. Devon was also super helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ellisons.

Limited Company Sale

We used Ellisons for the sale of our Limited company. Not a straightforward process due to the complicated nature in which the buyer's solicitor approached the deal, but Petra was fantastic throughout, always keeping us in the loop and available to talk to. We never had to wait long for email replies and she works with the confidence of someone who is clearly very good at their job.

There was a property conveyancing element to our deal which was also made straightforward by Catherine who was similarly professional in her approach.

We would not hesitate to use Ellisons again.

Difficult conveyancing handled brilliantly by Audrey McKenna

We were selling and buying and Audrey McKenna in the Frinton branch of Ellisons handled both side of the transaction for us.

The sale was straightforward and handled smoothly and stress-free.

The purchase was a different experience, the were a number of issues on the title and other legal factors and this was exacerbated by the vendors choosing a large budget conveyancing firm on the recommendation of their estate agent.

Luckily for us, we had the support of Audrey at Ellisons who was empathic, professional and endlessly patient in her dealing with the other side. She helped make the process as stress free as possible for us and ultimately got the case over the line in spite of the other conveyancers. frankly she did most of their work for them. Above and beyond and we are eternally grateful.

*****AVOID FOR RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY PURCHASES ETC*** Would give 0 if there was an option.... Used them for a house purchase and the way it was handled was very very disappointing. Every small hurdle that cropped up was made painfully slow with no attempts to proactively solve. Ultimately adding to overall costs... One word ... Useless!!!!!!

The solicitor that was working for the people we are buying off has got to be the slowest person on the planet ,14 months in buying a bit of land which has all be agreed ,he takes 6weeks to 4 months to reply to any messages from my solicitor and he doesn’t return any calls or emails so try and avoid him or play it safe and avoid Ellisons
