Following an initial consultation meeting with Georgia Cliffe solicitor and Victoria Timothy (Partner Private Client Group). I decided to instruct SAS Daniels to instruct SAS Daniels to proceed with the preparation of a Deed of Variation to redirect funds to my children and grandchildren resulting from the settlement of my sister-in-laws estate. Georgia Cliffe undertook the work involved. Throughout the relatively short process Georgia maintained a very good level of communication with me. Two years ago I used the services of Slater Heelis to arrange a Capacity Assessment for my sister and just recently a Deed of Variation for her will. Prior to that I had used the services of Towns Neesham, a firm who later joined with SLater Heelis, where they had dealt with the purchase of father's house, the subsequent transfer of ownership to my sister, prepared my sisters will and later dealt with the sale of her house. We have recently completed on a leasehold property purchase. An unexpected and complex issue arose regarding transfer of ownership of a parking space. This required some “out of the ordinary” legal activity and this was compounded by a a difference of opinion between our solicitor and the sellers solicitor. Our solicitor, Rachael McClean, worked very hard to ensure our best interests were correctly represented and acted upon when it would have been much easier to acquiesce to the seller’s solicitors wishes. Throughout the process Rachael and her colleagues, David and Claire, communicated in an effective and timely manner and were very happy to explain the progress and complex issues related to the deed of variation. Thanks to Rachael’s determination the issue was resolved to our satisfaction and we were able to exchange and complete. The staff in the Maghull office were very helpful when it came to document preparation and signatures. Overall we were very happy with the service we received and would have no hesitation in using Rachael and her colleagues for future conveyancing needs.
