This work covers residential and commercial property matters in England, including buying and selling homes, leases and tenancies, registrations, and disputes about possession, boundaries, and rent. A solicitor in this area reviews contracts and titles, drafts and negotiates deeds, handles conveyancing, and represents clients in landlord–tenant disputes, mortgage repossessions, and property-related claims. The focus is on securing clear title, compliant tenancy terms, and orderly resolution of conflicts that arise from property ownership and use.

“We had previous experience of using Forbes (in 2003) and were very happy then, and we were very happyagain with all that Hayley did for us on this occasion, too. Especially noteworthy was her retrieval of documants relating to the setiing up of the leasehold for the area on which our house was located: information we had not seen before, and historically iinofrmative since one of us has Clitheroe links since childhood.”

“Samantha Marandi was my Conveyancer for my house sale/buying a new house. Very friendly, always responsive to my emails/calls, completely on the ball, worked incredibly hard to get the properties over the line and fully explains things in a way you can understand. Very human too, especially when there was an issue with my garden due to a neighbour - she took the time out to make sure I was ok and reassure me. Would definitely recommend Samantha and her team at MBH.”

“The previous solicitor I was using was never available to speak to. I was kept out of the loop as to how things were progressing and treated more like a number than a person. I was put in touch with Brown Turner Ross by a second party. Immediately the change was noticeable. I was regularly emailed with up dates, reassured, and given a peace of mind the previous company failed to do. I would whole heartedly recommend them.”

“I arranged to speak to Andrew Campbell to discuss an on-going domestic issue linked to a property. Throughout the meeting Andrew was attentive, made sure he fully understood the situation, and my concerns, while providing a detailed breakdown of options available to me. At no time did I feel pushed into a course of action. Overall the service I recieved was excellent.”

    Frequently asked questions

    How are these solicitors ranked?

Rankings are worked out mainly from client reviews: the ratings clients give and how recent the reviews are, with reviews about Properties counting most. We also take into account how much of a firm's work is in Properties.

How often are the rankings updated?

Twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday, so new reviews are reflected quickly. This list was last updated on 29 October 2026.

Is it free to compare solicitors?

Yes. Comparing firms, reading reviews and sending your case summary to the firms you choose is free.

    Who will see my details?

Only the law firms you choose to send your case summary to. Nothing is shared until you press send, and your details are never shown on this page.

Why can I only send my case summary to some law firms?

Only law firms that have signed up to receive case summaries through us can be sent one. You can still contact any other firm directly from its profile.
