My paperwork was incorrectly completed and I had several solicitors handling my divorce including trainees. As a result of slipshod admin my decree nisi was declined because the wrong addresses had been written on my forms. We then had to meet with the judge for a face-to-face meeting with a solicitor from Pearce Legal joining over the phone. The judge explicitly stated to the solicitor that as the error had been made on their part rather than ours that no charge should be made for their time. Despite this I received a large bill from Pearce Legal post decree absolut. I wrote a detailed written complaint but still had to pay their bill. I then complained to The Law Society and the ombudsman but as a layperson I was not able to access the result of the complaint. Divorce is a stressful enough process which in my case was made even more stressful and expensive due to a sense of arrogance, lack of attention to detail and any sense of urgency on the part of Pearce Legal. The service I received was not defined by a sense of efficiency or in the end, transparency or adherence to the judge’s final instruction.

I recommend Pearce Legal to everyone who needs pragmatic, efficient, kind support with anything legal. They made my divorce as painless as possible, sorted out my house move and my will. I wouldn't use anyone else, nor would I hesitate to contact them if I had a problem.

They had power of attorney of a 98 year old maiden aunt and were about to sell an annuity using all their funds against their will. We stopped it and revoked the POA. DO NOT GIVE THEM POA it will be abused.
