Decent but quite frustrating
They helped me with the purchase of a house recently. The job got done — a bit later than expected, but still within a reasonable margin. My only real issue was that I’d asked for something to be done in a specific order, and they went ahead differently without ever giving me any explanation. I even went there in person to speed things up, but my solicitor wouldn’t see me for a quick chat. I left the documents with them around lunchtime, and they didn’t acknowledge receiving them until the next day at noon. I honestly don’t know what Alex Yuan Tay and his assistant Adam Hunter were doing — it would’ve been perfectly fine if they’d just told me they didn’t have time and recommended another solicitor instead. They will get the job done, but if you value communication and being kept in the loop, you might want to manage your expectations.
