Sarah-Jane studied French and German at Oxford University before embarking on the Solicitor Apprenticeship in 2016. She received first-class honours in her law degree and was in the top 20% of UK pass rates for the SQE. She was shortlisted in 2022 for the LawNet Trainee of the Year Award. During the six years of her apprenticeship, Sarah-Jane also gained legal experience in Family Law, Lifetime Planning and Dispute Resolution. We had a difficult situation involving part of an inheritance abroad. This was beyond the expertise of the firm we had initially employed to deal with the will, but definitely within the capabilities of Sarah-Jane Legge and Ashtons Legal. Sarah-Jane used her expertise and communication skills to deal with the legal system in France, negotiating every hurdle with confidence and professional skill and success. We felt supported throughout and fully up to date with developments. Sarah-Jane also demonstrated a degree of emotional intelligence which enabled her to cope with both our stress and to communicate with the French firm involved, on our behalf. We will be returning to Sarah-Jane and Ashtons Legal to ensure that future succession is secured without problem.
