I am a Solicitor within the Family and Child Care Department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. Since joining Duncan Lewis in December 2020, I have acquired extensive experience in representing clients within their Family and/or Child Care law matters, funded both publicly and privately. I have extensive experience in dealing with Public Child Care proceedings. My expertise include representing parents whose children have been removed from their care due to concerns of substance misuse, domestic abuse, poor home conditions, learning difficulties and poor mental health. I have substantial experience in representing parents within the Public Law Outline (PLO) process, in which I can advise and assist parents in an attempt to avoid the commencement of court proceedings. I have considerable exposure in dealing with Private Children Law proceedings, to help parents obtain Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Specific Issue Orders. I have assisted clients in obtaining protective injunctions, such as Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders. I have significant advocacy experience in representing clients for various types of hearings, within both Public and Private Children Law and Family Law matters. I have significant experience in dealing with First Hearing Dispute Resolution Appointments (FHDRA), Dispute Resolution Appointments (DRA), Direction Hearings, Case Management Hearings, Issue Resolution Hearings as well as Final Hearings before, Magistrates, District Judges and Circuit Judges.
