I am a Supervisor and Caseworker in the Public Law and Immigration departments at Duncan Lewis Solicitors. I joined the firm in October 2018 and am based at the firm's head office in Harrow. I work with a team solicitors, trainees and caseworkers under the direct supervision of director Toufique Hossain. I have over 10 years of experience handling a wide range of immigration, asylum and human rights matters, from the initial application stage to appeals in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals of the Immigration Asylum Chamber and the higher courts. I have significant experience in representing individuals in both a detained and non-detained setting in matters which include asylum, human rights, entry clearance, settlement, deportation and bail. I have specialist expertise in dealing with challenging Secretary of State decisions and obtaining positive outcomes for my clients. I regularly represent and assist vulnerable individuals suffering from complex psychological issues as well as victims of torture, human trafficking, domestic violence and minors. I am committed in ensuring that their matters are dealt with in a professional and compassionate manner. I am accredited as a Supervisor and Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society's Immigration and Accreditation Scheme meaning that I have demonstrated that I possess the required level of specialist knowledge and competence in this area of law as defined by the Law Society. This also enables me to represent and advise both publicly funded and private clients.
