Libbie started working for Bridge McFarland LLP on a voluntary basis at the same time that she was completing her Law Degree. Her hard work and dedication paid off and she was offered a permanent position when she graduated. Libbie obtained her LLB honours degree and then went on to complete the LLM and LPC at the University of Sheffield whilst continuing to work with the firm. Libbie started her legal career in our Family and Childcare Department. She then spent some time working in medical negligence before returning back to Family & Childcare. Libbie has experience of dealing with clients from a variety of backgrounds in particularly difficult times in their lives. Her knowledge of the impact of injury from her medical negligence experience assists her when dealing with the traumatic effects of non-accidental injury cases in our Childcare Department. Likewise, the knowledge and experience gained when assessing loss in clinical negligence claims is of great assistance when it comes to identifying the financial needs upon the breakdown of a marriage. Libbie is actively involved with Lincolnshire Cerebral Palsy Society and volunteers at a local food bank.

    Assistance with Financial Order

    I instructed Bridge Macfarland in December 2024 for help with a financial order. I am very happy with the service I received. They were easy to contact and responded quickly to me. Unfortunately, things beyond my control meant my case was drawn out for lingerie than it should have been. Due to this, I was passed to a further 2 solicitors at the firm. All solicitors involved in my case were helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Bridge McFarland and would like to thank all involved for their help in the eventually outcome, which would have been achieved had it not been for their perseverance and work.

    The Outstanding Work of Libbie Magson.

    Unfortunately I had to call upon the services of BMF to handle what should have been a very simple and easy divorce. However due to the attitude of my now ex-wife this turned out to be a long (4year) battle. I can honestly say that Libbie very quickly understood the brief and what she was facing. Despite many ups and downs, none of which were our doing, Libbie’s professionalism but also her personal commitment to this case never waived, along with her commitment to getting a sensible outcome. Her advice was always balanced and honest and even though the divorce was costly, due to Libbie’s professionalism and advice, I was able to recoup most of my cost from the other side. When Libbie was unavailable she was ably supported by the equally impressive Luke Brown, who between them both made an amazingly formidable team. I cannot recommend Libbie, Luke or BMF enough to anyone who is placed into the same situation that I was. I am proud to call them my Solicitors because I know I will always get sound, honest advice from them all.
