Housing Solicitor

I am a Solicitor in the Housing department based in Duncan Lewis Solicitors' City of London office. I work as a part of the Housing Team and am instructed on a variety of publicly and privately funded housing matters including claims for possession, landlord and tenant disputes, applications for eviction, suspension of warrants for possession, housing disrepair, unlawful evictions, harassment, homelessness reviews, homelessness appeals in the County Court, and applications for judicial review. I have considerable experience dealing with cases ranging from small claims matters to complex multi-track cases, and matters which haven been determined by the Court of Appeal. I regularly assist as a Court Duty Adviser and advocate on behalf of clients at the County Court. I have been fortunate enough to volunteer and support Help for Southall Street Homeless (HSSH) which is a homeless charity set up to assist rough sleepers who suffer with various medical needs and/or substance abuse issues in Southall (West London) and the neighbouring arears. I have also been fortunate enough to volunteer with CRISIS at Christmas and assist homeless people in London over the Christmas period. I believe this has allowed me to develop my ability to work with and assist some of the most vulnerable people in society, and has helped me act on behalf of vulnerable and high risk clients. I am committed to promoting access to justice, in particular to those who are the most vulnerable within society. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone should be is entitled to receive clear legal advice and assistance regardless of their social or economic circumstances.

Angel Miranda Quashie

Miranda Quashie, Manjinder Kaur Atwal and Daljit Singh Shina was an amazing team when it came to my housing challenges. I'm was mainly dealing with Miranda, she was kind, patient, understanding, professional and did her upmost best always. Even when i was stressed and worried she would reassure me that she is working hard and that as soon as she hears something she will update, which she did. Thank you Miranda, myself and my daughter have been homeless for yes and you came and changed our life around, now we are in our beautiful new home, and we are both happy, you are truly an angel 😇
