Samantha has a vast amount of experience in both employment law cases and personal injury claims. In 2017 she won Bristol Law Society’s Lawyer of the Year and was promoted to Partner in 2018 whilst on maternity leave. Samantha deals with both employee and employer matters, including drafting contracts and policy documents, providing HR advice, dealing with redundancies, drafting and advising upon contracts and settlement agreements, dealing with unfair and constructive dismissal claims, discrimination cases and complex Tribunal matters. She is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. In her personal injury capacity, Samantha helps secure compensation for those who have been injured as a result of fault. She provides support and guidance throughout the process and is passionate about her work. Samantha enjoys the variety of her personal injury caseload, which includes workplace accidents, occupier’s liability cases, road accidents, Highways Act and criminal injuries compensation cases. Samantha has a particular interest in cycling accident claims. She is also a member of APIL (Associations of Personal Injury Lawyers). Whether in employment cases or personal injury claims, Samantha gets to the heart of the issue, coming up with practical solutions and dealing with matters promptly and as cost-effectively as possible. In addition to her roles in the Employment and Personal Injury teams, Samantha also undertakes some work within our Dispute Resolution team, helping to recover debts, both personal and for businesses, as well as dealing with contractual disputes.

After being knocked off my bike by a car, Barcan Kirby helped me pursue a successful claim against the driver. Samantha Castle was friendly, profession and efficient throughout and everything was explained to me so I understood the process well. During Samantha’s maternity leave, Kirsty Bancroft took over seamlessly and also provided excellent service. I would use the company again if I required a solicitor in the future.
