I engaged Barcan+Kirby to produce a Deed to replace an aged trustee (of a trust fund) who has dementia by another.

Their process and documentation (letters, the deed) were very clear, providing helpful guidance. Questions were always responded to efficiently.

I popped into their central office several times to drop of signed documents and their staff there were very helpful, friendly and efficient. (They particularly enjoyed in when I had my dog with me one day - with various staff coming to pet her).

The work took longer than I had imagined, which was over 3 months from my initial email confirming wish to engage. The early stage, in particular, progressed slowly, however this was over the summer holiday season, with holiday being taken, and there was a delay on my side in obtaining an evidentiary letter. Latterly things progressed more quickly.

Overall, I was pleased with the Deed that was produced, and I would certainly use Barcan+Kirby again.

This was my 3rd file the previous files with different contact were great. With this file I didn't get any paperwork without asking for it ie asked for property form then had to keep asking for attachments last only recieved after moved in they still had to ask seller/solicitor for it so this form was not reviewed when recieved. Still concerned I don't have everything I would need if I sell.

Our case hasn't completed yet, but I feel I need to let some positivity out right now considering how awful our chain is.

I obviously won't go into details about why our chain has been so, so bad other than useless solicitors... but the only positive thing in this process was our choice of solicitor: Victoria Stone.

Victoria is the only reason I have been remained semi sane. She has been put through her paces in this process and gone above and beyond. I never have to chase her or get stressed about her. Her professionalism and personable character has been a life saver in this process.

She has been totally competent, dealing with issues that are ACTUALLY issues (unlike other solicitors in this chain), she responds in a timely manner and even more importantly is that she will listen to my rant every so often because this process has just been soul destroying.

All I can say is that if we had had 5 lots of Victoria's in our chain, we would have moved into that house at the beginning of Summer, not 6 months later still wondering if we'll ever move.

So Barkin and Kirby, you have a keeper there as I will, without a doubt recommend her to anyone and everyone. Whilst the journey we have been on together has been nothing short of terrible - she's been a total pleasure to work with.

Absolutely wonderful, began work in our DOT when i was heavily pregnant and completed when little one arrived. both Anna and Alyssa took the time to explain everything and answered questions to both my partner Andi. Took the time to allow us to discuss things between ourselves which we hadnt thought of, They were never pushy to complete the matter so it fitted in with them. It was very much on our basic and time frame which was perfect, especially when our little one arrived. Would definitely use again and recommend.

I was very happy with my choice to use Barcan+Kirby with the purchase of my shared ownership home. I was mostly helped by Shannon, who is super responsive, knowledgeable and generally pleasant to work with. Asking around for recommendations beforehand, I couldn't find anyone with a positive conveyancing experience, so I feel really lucky to have found B+K.
