Jane is the firm’s Managing Partner and Head of the Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Departments. She joined the firm in 1998 and soon gained a reputation for winning cases others firms refused to act on. Jane specialises in representing clients who have unfortunately been involved in serious accidents resulting in life changing injuries and representing Claimants who have suffered as a result of Clinical Negligence. Jane became an Equity Partner in 2008 and sits on the Management Board dealing with all operational aspects of the business to ensure the firm continues to deliver excellent legal services to our clients across England and Wales. Jane maintains her knowledge of serious injury law by attending training events provided by relevant industry bodies, such as the brain injury association, Headway. In her spare time Jane likes to spend time outdoors walking her Cocker Spaniel, socialising with friends and family or immersing herself in a good book.

    Reluctant as I was to commence a personal injury claim, Russell & Russell Solicitors talked me through the whole process of what to expect, answering all my questions and allowing me time to deliberate. There was no pressure, only professional and honest advice. Given Russell & Russell’s approach, I had no qualms about choosing Russell & Russell to represent me. And I’m glad I did. Given that the time to claim expired within a matter of months, Jane Penman worked tirelessly and swiftly in collating all required information and documentation, completing everything within the allotted timeframe. I was kept abreast of all aspects of my claim - via letters, emails and phone calls - and Jane Penman was always on hand to answer any of my questions or assuage my concerns, even listening to me waffle on when I found things difficult to deal with. A special mention to Fiona White, too. Like Jane Penman, Fiona White was always keeping me informed and happy to answer my questions and explain the whole process whenever required.
