Cathryn has experience in dealing with many aspects of commercial property. Her experience has seen her acting for developers on large, small and medium sized builds - be that by way of an outright sale/purchase, an Option Agreement or on a conditional basis or with or without overage arrangements. The onward part of the development transaction is also something Cathryn can assist with being used to setting up the onward sales and dealing with the ancillary aspects of the development sites such as planning agreements, substations and gas governors. Working with both landlords and tenants in granting or the renewal of leases, Cathryn sees both sides of a transaction so can negotiate favourable and balanced terms. Similarly, Cathryn has spent a significant part of her time in the commercial property world acting for investors and property holding companies meaning she is used to dealing with the property aspects of business sales and purchases, managing a large volume of transactions at any one time and setting up standard suites of documents to assist in the uniform management of a portfolio. The knowledge gained in working on these transactions means Cathryn can also provide a well-rounded approach to satisfying the requirements of a lender where funding is either being given or taken. With commercial property often containing complex intricacies, Cathryn works through these to find a solution to satisfy both the investor, funder and owner. Not afraid to tackle the unknown, Cathryn has acquired a reputation over time as being able to pick up a matter and run with it, the usual and the unusual being thrown in - tower blocks, amusement arcades, piers being examples. Outside of the office, Cathryn spends a lot of time building dens, tying knots, lighting fires and putting up and striking camp. The hazards of being a Cub and a Scout Leader. She is also an enthusiastic crocheter, keen photographer, tap and ballet dancer and when not too slow (it has been said) a skier with the family.
