Ali is a CILEx Member – Advanced Paralegal in our Medical Negligence team. Ali has previously worked in London and for 18 years supported a partner at a local law firm with a caseload specialising in personal injury and medical negligence, before joining Ashtons Legal in 2022. Ali is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. She is knowledgeable and experienced at looking after clients and their families when they are in difficult situations. She works with clients from their first contact through to the closure of their case providing consistency of support. She is calm, understanding and a good listener, and will always be clear and honest in the information that she provides. Ali’s aim is to ensure that we are ensuring people are in a better position than they were when they came to us, whether this is financially following a damages award or emotionally in obtaining an apology and explanation as what has happened. Obtaining an apology and closure following an incident can be just as vital to a client’s wellbeing as receiving a compensation payment to achieve a good quality of life following an incident. Outside of work, Ali is a musician and singer and plays the piano, organ and flute. She also enjoys running, swimming and cycling.

    NHS negligence

    Ashtons Legal handled our negligence claim against the NHS following our mother’s untimely death whilst in their care. Ali treated us with great compassion and sensitivity throughout the process in what was still a traumatic time for our family.     Ali Masterton provided a wonderful service to me at a time when I was feeling very low over the death of my sister and I needed help in making a complaint about the NHS.     Ali Masterson rang me today to give me advice on a very sensitive medical issue I have with the NHS. Ali was extremely professional and compassionate and gave me really good advice. Ali also listened and was very sympathetic and kind towards me after hearing about my health problems. I now feel this issue is resolved but Ali told me I could call her back at any point if I feel anything else needs addressing. 5 star service. Thanks Ali!

    Support in the darkest of hours

    After losing my father we were left with many unanswered questions that quite frankly kept us awake at night due to his care leading up to his death. We were overwhelmed, confused, distraught and needed someone to provide clarity. Ashtons has provided an extremely discrete, diplomatic and caring service to help us find the answers to questions we were too frightened to voice.
