We were selling our late daughters flat. It was a Shared Ownership property which complicated things. Then the buyers solicitors had to be replaced. This caused more issues. The whole conveyance took 12 months and we are mentally exhausted. Throughout the process Morgan has been efficient, professional and very supportive. We feel fortunate that she was our solicitor and we highly recommend her, as a solicitor and a lovely woman.

This was my second time using Watkins, I asked for Morgan specifically as she had previously done efficient and well communicated work on a somewhat tricky case. The second time was for the sale of my house, it went through extremely quickly, efficiently, and with Morgan proactively resolving issues without me needing to chase. Our experience with Watkins Solicitors, conveyancing solicitors based in Bristol, was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Over the course of our property purchase, we were handled by multiple solicitors with minimal continuity or communication. Emails were regularly sent to only one of us, even though we were joint buyers and repeatedly asked to be copied in together. We often discovered key information — including exchange and completion dates — from the sellers before hearing from our own solicitors. Documents were sent without any clear order or explanation, the client app was never updated, and requests for guidance were ignored. When we raised concerns, replies became increasingly curt. We even had to make multiple trips to the office after being told documentation was “complete.” After completion, we submitted a formal complaint outlining these issues. Watkins Solicitors dismissed every concern and accepted no responsibility, despite the clear evidence of poor communication and disorganisation. The whole experience felt impersonal and defensive, rather than professional or client-focused. Even the firm’s complaints page on their website links to a 404 error, which reflects the lack of attention to detail we encountered throughout. We cannot recommend Watkins Solicitors, particularly for first-time buyers. Look elsewhere for a conveyancing team that communicates clearly and takes client feedback seriously.

Watkins solicitors and in particular Louise Price were excellent in every way. Louise was not only extremely knowledgeable and efficient but personable, kind and supportive throughout what was a difficult time. She gave comfort, confidence and reassurance at all stages and in the court room was a strong, calm and caring guide. She did her job brilliantly and without fault. We would highly recommend Watkins solicitors as a business and also Louise. Thank you.
