I have an ongoing legal situation where my assigned solicitors have ignored me since being denied legal aid but never quoting me for private representation. In light of this I decided to call Wilson Reed Solicitors for their free consultation to hopefully better understand my situation and have my unanswered questions answered, upon my call I got through to someone immediately and was allocated to a lawyer within 20 seconds of the call being answered. I then spent the next 35 minutes speaking to Conor. He answered all of my questions and explained the legal processes that are common in cases like mine. After that, I decided to instruct Wilson Reed to defend my case. It lasted two months and CPS discontinued it. When you're charged with a criminal offence you have two options. You either pay privately or you rely on legal aid. In my experience, legal aid lawyers are lazy and uninterested in your case. They're paid a small amount of money to get you to plead guilty. I wanted to leave a five star review for Wilson Reed Solicitors, who recently handled and won my firearms case. I was charged with possession of a prohibited firearm which I'd had in my gun safe for many years. I'd forgotten about it in all honestly. The police visited my address after an anonymous report and seized various items. I was placed under investigation following a short interview. It was then that I engaged Wilson Reed. I found them to be proactive, enthusiastic and driven. They engaged with the police early on and presented several defence arguments. After some back-and-forth the police eventually dropped the charges against me. The stress of the situation nearly killed me, but Wilson Reed made the whole process a lot easier. I was accused of fighting and causing serious injury to another person. The police told me the other person suffered a broken jaw and required surgery. I appointed Wilson Reed to handle the case after a long conversation with Patrick. After 6 weeks of investigation work and engagement with the police, Wilson Reed forced the police to drop my case. This was based on inaccurate medical information from the victim and mistakes made by the police during the investigation. All in all a fantastic outcome.
