Having received the dreaded letter from the police I googled the implications of my offence, mindful I had already accumulated 6 points over the last 3 years. My search led me to Patterson Law and an initial enquiry prompted an extremely helpful and reassuring call from Karen Parsons. Karen explained to me fully the options available to defend the case along with the possible outcomes. Though I am a long way from being out of the woods, I now feel at least I have an expert guide to lead the way.

I paid Patterson Law £2,040 because they advertise themselves as road traffic specialists. The day before my trial I was told in writing that my barrister would meet me at court. When I arrived there was no barrister at all. Instead Patterson sent an immigration solicitor who clearly had no experience in road traffic law and no understanding of the details of my case. Important evidence that I had provided was not even included in the file given to the court. The solicitor they sent was not able to deal with the situation and I quickly realised that if I left it to Patterson I would almost certainly lose my licence and face thousands of pounds in fines. I had no choice but to defend myself from the witness stand. Fortunately I had the confidence to do that and was acquitted. When I complained, Patterson did not deal with any of the serious issues. Their replies were dismissive and arrogant, and they tried to shift responsibility elsewhere. In the end they offered me nothing more than a token sum of money which in no way reflects the danger I was put in or the poor service I received. I have now escalated this to the Legal Ombudsman who are looking into it. After reading more reviews it is clear that I am not the only person who has been let down. Many of the one star reviews say the same thing, that clients were promised a specialist and ended up with someone completely unsuitable. Some reviewers even say they lost their licence or were fined heavily because of it. If you are considering using Patterson Law you should think very carefully. Ask who will actually represent you on the day, because from what I have experienced and from what I have read from others, there is a clear pattern of people being badly let down at the point they needed proper help the most.

With four sons in their 20's I have contacted Patterson Law several times! Each case has resulted in a positive outcome for our family. This firms main focus is on driving and driving related incidents. I am happy to write this review to relay our experience dealing with Rachel Saunders. She spent nearly an hour on the phone discussing our predicament and options going forward. There was never a time that I felt we were being hurried through the conversation. Not only that but she followed up with an email with every detail of that conversation so we could refer to it and understand all the details. There was never any mention of a bill for this time and effort. Just if the case went further the costs of appointing Patterson law to represent us. So basically free legal advice! A rare example of customer service in todays world. I cannot recommend Patterson Law highly enough!
