I’m extremely grateful to Grace Carney for the way she handled my case. From the first consultation right through to the conclusion, I felt that I was dealing with someone who genuinely understood the seriousness of the situation and knew exactly how to deal with it. Grace was professional, approachable and extremely thorough. Having received the dreaded letter from the police I googled the implications of my offence, mindful I had already accumulated 6 points over the last 3 years. My search led me to Patterson Law and an initial enquiry prompted an extremely helpful and reassuring call from Karen Parsons. Karen explained to me fully the options available to defend the case along with the possible outcomes. Though I am a long way from being out of the woods, I now feel at least I have an expert guide to lead the way.

I paid Patterson Law £2,040 because they advertise themselves as road traffic specialists. The day before my trial I was told in writing that my barrister would meet me at court. When I arrived there was no barrister at all. Instead Patterson sent an immigration solicitor who clearly had no experience in road traffic law and no understanding of the details of my case. Important evidence that I had provided was not even included in the file given to the court. The solicitor they sent was not able to deal with the situation and I quickly realised that if I left it to Patterson I would almost certainly lose my licence and face thousands of pounds in fines. I had no choice but to defend myself from the witness stand. Fortunately I had the confidence to do that and was acquitted. When I complained, Patterson did not deal with any of the serious issues. Their replies were dismissive and arrogant, and they tried to shift responsibility elsewhere. In the end they offered me nothing more than a token sum of money which in no way reflects the danger I was put in or the poor service I received. I have now escalated this to the Legal Ombudsman who are looking into it. After reading more reviews it is clear that I am not the only person who has been let down. Many of the one star reviews say the same thing, that clients were promised a specialist and ended up with someone completely unsuitable. Some reviewers even say they lost their licence or were fined heavily because of it. If you are considering using Patterson Law you should think very carefully. Ask who will actually represent you on the day, because from what I have experienced and from what I have read from others, there is a clear pattern of people being badly let down at the point they needed proper help the most.

I cannot recommend Grace Carney at Patterson highly enough. She successfully got my case discontinued, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The service I received was exceptional from start to finish, and she made the entire process feel much more manageable. I initially contacted Patterson and explained my case. I was then contacted by one of their colleagues assuring me that my case was very strong to fight back and I should make the payment to proceed further. I believed them and decided to go ahead. I paid Patterson Law £1,800 for specialized motoring defense, and my case manager, Jason Rosser, assured me a barrister was allocated. Instead, they sent an unprepared representative. She who had zero knowledge of my case file and did not have the ability to speak or defend my case but rather convinced me that I should plead guilty to save myself in getting the points on my licence and Because of their negligence, my defense was ruined. The Magistrates explicitly stated on the judicial record that my representative was "clueless," resulting in a devastating 8 points and a £1,195 fine.As a vulnerable anxiety patient, the trauma of being abandoned by the firm I paid to protect me has caused me immense distress. Do not trust this firm with your livelihood. Absolute disgrace. I’m definitely going to take legal action against Patterson Law as I have the witnesses to back my case.i
