Great help every step of the way.

Gemma Blizard, representing Heringtons, acted for us throughout the time of the purchase and sale of our properties. Her help and guidance was invaluable and no effort was spared by her to ensure the project was completed successfully.
We had a few problems with our purchase and sale en route, and Gemma’s professional guidance ensured we could make good, well informed decisions, which ultimately allowed us to arrive at very successfully outcome.

Gemma Blizard assisted me and my mother with the sale of her property under Power of Attorney. Gemma was always quick to respond to my emails and provided an efficient and friendly service to us. I first instructed Herington's and Jenna French on a flat sale back in 2023. Jenna was explained the whole process really well and responded to questions very quickly. The whole process went really quickly and smoothly that I asked Jenna to carry out a first registration for my Dads house earlier this year. Jenna was really helpful and was reassuring to my brother and I that needed the process to happen quickly. I couldn't fault the service we were given. At the end of 2024 my partner and I were buying a house and selling a flat so asked for Jenna's services again. There were a few complications this time that Jenna dealt with professionally and really well. I would recommend Jenna to anyone needing conveyancing. I felt really confident in Jenna. She responds well to queries, helps with understanding the process and is really personable.

An excellent firm of solicitors who always go the extra mile

I have worked with Heringtons for mutual clients for many years. Where my building survey reports have been sent to their solicitor, Jenna French has always carried out a very detailed analysis of the potential issues and always goes the extra mile for her clients.
Jenna is tenacious in making enquiries and getting all of the facts together in her reports to clients, making sure they are fully informed of any potential issues.
Heringtons have also acted for my own house purchase, and I was very pleased with the overall service.

Description

We’ve been serving the people of East Sussex for around 250 years and can trace our history back to the firms of Raper & Fovargue in Battle and Dawes Son & Prentice in Rye in the mid 18th Century. There has been a lot of change and growth since then but we are still firmly rooted in the local community, combining legal excellence with a highly personalised service – for local people and businesses. Although constantly improving our use of technology to provide the most effective legal service, we still take the time and care to build one-to-one relationships with clients - a traditional way of working that’s fast disappearing in many law firms. As a client, you will usually work with the same lawyer and legal secretary throughout each engagement. There are some exceptions, such as in matters where you may need more than one specialist but, in most cases, you will have the dedicated support of the same well-qualified and experienced lawyer. We are accredited with the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) so you know that when you instruct us on a residential conveyancing matter, you are in safe hands. Whatever your legal need, whether personal or business, we look forward to helping you.
