Working in the legal field, i was not looking forward to the conveyancing process as I know how stressful it can be. I therefore selected my law firm carefully and read reviews beforehand. I decided to go with Rubin Lewis O'brien, to have 4 stars and a big conveyancing department is a really good sign. Lucy dealt with the sale of my property, the whole process was seamless and stress free from start to finish, my emails were actioned almost immediately and there was always cover if she was on annual leave. Lucy is due to qualify this year and hopefully she decides to specialise in conveyancing! If so, she most definitely has a client for life - I can also say, that I would be confident to recommend her to others. Conveyancing in my view, can be a tough area to practice in, there are so many moving parts anything can happen, so the fact that Lucy managed to make it stress free is really commendable. Sent me a letter which was a bit degrading all because I owed £7.50 on a free will. I booked an appointment long before the letter arrived to pay the £7.50
Thank you for your feedback. The £7.50 you refer to relates to an AML fee which is a recoverable disbursement. The letter you received was from our accounts department who may not have been aware of the appointment you had arranged to pay this sum. Please accept my apologies for any confusion caused.
If you need a solicitor in Cwmbran, I highly recommend Rubin Lewis O'Brien. Chris Lewis and Jeanette Powell fought my case against the NHS and they were fantastic. Even though the NHS dragged the case out for a very long time, Chris and Jeanette were right there beside me the entire time. They always made time to correspond with me and gave me excellent guidance. I am so happy to have received the maximum compensation deserved, and I know it's all down to their hard work and patience. Thank you both for making a stressful process so much easier.

After I went to the solicitor, I was really disappointed. He didn’t ask me for permission before having the trainee solicitor stay in the room, which I thought was unprofessional and really lacked basic courtesy. What’s more, he seemed out of his depth—when I brought up the Misrepresentation Act, he told me he hadn’t used it in years, which struck me as odd since it’s a cornerstone of British law. I just felt, at that point, he was really out of his depth.
It is a shame that you posted this review without firstly affording us the opportunity to address your concerns. We welcome all feedback but would stress that the assessment of your case was given with your best interests in mind and to hopefully save you the further cost of pursuing a claim which would be difficult in the circumstances.
