After I went to the solicitor, I was really disappointed. He didn’t ask me for permission before having the trainee solicitor stay in the room, which I thought was unprofessional and really lacked basic courtesy. What’s more, he seemed out of his depth—when I brought up the Misrepresentation Act, he told me he hadn’t used it in years, which struck me as odd since it’s a cornerstone of British law. I just felt, at that point, he was really out of his depth.
It is a shame that you posted this review without firstly affording us the opportunity to address your concerns. We welcome all feedback but would stress that the assessment of your case was given with your best interests in mind and to hopefully save you the further cost of pursuing a claim which would be difficult in the circumstances.

From start to finish was a dream , any concerns about my case were answered quickly and efficiently, I walked into court nervous and not sure how it would work out but the firm made my personal case run smoothly with a complete break down along the way and constant reassurance. My kids required a duty solicitor and got Mark. Seems he did ok on the day, but in an extremely volatile situation afterwards where further help and support was sought and pleaded for - no response in any shape or form. Distressing to say the least where the professionals are so unprofessional and uncaring.
As you will see from our website, we have no employees called Mark and have not taken on any duty solicitor work since 30th September 2025. If you would like us to make some enquiries, please contact our office and ask to speak to the Practice Manager.

Sent me a letter which was a bit degrading all because I owed £7.50 on a free will. I booked an appointment long before the letter arrived to pay the £7.50
Thank you for your feedback. The £7.50 you refer to relates to an AML fee which is a recoverable disbursement. The letter you received was from our accounts department who may not have been aware of the appointment you had arranged to pay this sum. Please accept my apologies for any confusion caused.
If you need a solicitor in Cwmbran, I highly recommend Rubin Lewis O'Brien. Chris Lewis and Jeanette Powell fought my case against the NHS and they were fantastic. Even though the NHS dragged the case out for a very long time, Chris and Jeanette were right there beside me the entire time. They always made time to correspond with me and gave me excellent guidance. I am so happy to have received the maximum compensation deserved, and I know it's all down to their hard work and patience. Thank you both for making a stressful process so much easier.
