Do not use this firm. In my desperate hour of need, I was not helped and it made my impossible situation even more difficult. Rude, unprofessional, uncaring. Initially told that my solicitor was constantly "out of office" or "on holiday" or "attending a family emergency" All of this was a way to avoid dealing with issues instead of being honest and saying we can't help or give appropriate helpful advice and find another firm. You deserve better - find a compassionate and professional firm, there are lots out there.

Alexandra Chessum of Shentons represented us in a family matter that involved the incredibly difficult situation of stolen identity and proving that various driving offences were committed by a third person over several months using a stolen driving license. This involved 3 different courts covering 3 different cases. Alexandra showed incredible skill and tenacity through tireless work, professionalism and (to my family) compassion and understanding whilst handling our case. The end result was that all charges were dropped, and all penalties and judgements reversed, which came as a direct result of her incredible efforts.
Alexandra is a credit to her profession and Shentons as a company, and darn nice person too! We as a family happily send this endorsement and cannot recommend Alexandra or Shentons highly enough. A first-class service from a first-class solicitor!

From the first call getting through to the receptionist who believed that it is perfectly okay to constantly interject and talk over you. And then make it out that you're being a difficult person. From there the unexplained delays in response and total lack of response to direct questions have been the flavour of the day.
When raised with the "trainee" solicitor - I was told in no uncertain terms that I'm not important enough and there are many other cases which have a higher priority than mine and that she has been on courses and hasn't been in the office... These are of concern to me how?? Clearly the trainee has far too much work to do and really should attend a professional conduct training course on how to respond and the etiquette surrounding professional communications.
Do yourself a favour and find an alternative.
