do noy trust Shabana Fazal

Do not trust Shabana Fazal. In June of this year I was given a custodial sentence, prior which Shabana Fazal of GT Stewart Solicitors had given false representation at me plea hearing and folling this had not listened to my case for my defence. On the day of my sentencing she had stated that I had professionally embarassed her without clarifying the basis for the claim in teh court room other than the fact that she felt her intergrity was being called into question. Shabana Fazal had taking funding from Legal aid to represent me in a case which concerned a long term neighbourly dispute with my neighbour. Since I have a previous conviction I felt I was coerced into giving a guilty plea so as to secure a quick result on the part of Shabana. The reason for writing teh review 2 months on is that I feel so strongly about my misrepresentation at court i would like to make others aware of the situation. At my plea hearing, Ms Fazal and without instruction from myself, stated that my mitigation was that I had a 'split personality dosrder' when in point of fact I had been diagnosed 4 yaers ago with post traumatic stress disorder.
Prior to my plea hearing, my mitigation was not heard by MS fAZAL AND IN FACT SHE HAD DISMISSED THIS IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT THERE WERE MITIGATING CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING MY ASE ON THIS OCCASION WHIH I FEEL THE JUDGE WOULD HAVE TAKEN INTO ACCOUTN HAD I BEEN LISTENED TO AND FAIRLY RESPRESENTED!

AS A RESULT OF THE FACT MS FAZAL HAD BEEN EXTREMELY HORMONAL ON THE DAY OF SENTENCING AS A RESULT OF BEING AT LEAST 7 MONTHS PREGNANT, SHE HAD TURNED ON ME AND VERBALLY ATTACKED ME FOR STATING THE ABOVE TO HER IN AN EMAIL; 'THAT I FELT I HAD BEEN DUPED INTO GIVING A GUILTY PLEA AS A RESULT OF HER FAILING TO MY SIDE OF THE STORY AS ME LEGAL RESPRESENTATIVE AND THAT I FELT THAT DUE TO THE NATURE OF TEH CONVICTION THAT SHE WAS LOOKING TO SECURE A QUICK RESULT
- AS A RESULT OF WHICH I WAS GIVEN A 14 WEEK SENTENCE. DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE PROBATION OFFICER RESPONSIBLE FOR WRITING THE PRE SENTENCE REPORT HAD RECOMMENDED THAT I SHOULD RECIEVE AN EXTENSION OF UPTO 20 HOURS PER WEEK ON MY THEN CURRENT CUSTODIAL SENTENCE AND SHOULD ATTEND A RAR PROGRAM - REHABILITATION.
NOT ONLY WAS SHABANA FAZAL COMPLETEY UNPROFESSIONAL IN HER APPROACH TO HER REPRESENTATION OF ME AS HER CLIENT, ALSO MAING UP HER OWN MITIGATION WHXIH SHE HAD NOT CONSLULTED ME ON PRIOR TO THE PLEA HEARING. SHE ABANDONED ME ON THE DAY OF SENTENCING AND HAD FLOUNCED OFF AFTER STATING THIS IN THE COURT ROOM AT BOW MAGISTRATES COURT, LEAVING ME TO SELF REPRESENT!!

MY SUGGESTION TO THE UNSUSPECTING PUBLIC - DO NOT TRUST GT SOLICITORS AND IF YOU ARE APPROACHED BY SHABANA FAZAL WHO DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE HER PERSONAL OPINION OF HER CLIENTS FROM A PROFESSIONAL APPROACH TO HOW SHE DEALS WITH HER CLIENTS OR IN GIVING THEM FAIR REPRESENTATION - ESPECIALLY WHEN PREGNANT! - DO I QUESTION YOUR INTERGITY sHABANA? ANSWER: VERY MUCH SO, NOT SO MUCH YOUR INTEGRITY BUT YOUR APPARENT HORMONAL APPROACH TO HOW YOU DEAL CONFLICTIONS OF NTERESTS CONCERNING YOUR CLIENTS AND YOUR LACK OF ABILITY TO RESSOLVE THIS IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. I AM STILL STRUGGLING TO UNDERSTAND YOUR OWN DEFINITION OF 'PROFESSIONAL EMBARRASSMENT' SINCE THIS WAS NOT MADE CLAER TO ME OR INDEED THE JUDGE ON THE DY OF SENTENCING, BUT STILL MEANT THAT I SERVED A PRISON SENTENCE AS A RESULT! YOU ALSO HAD THE ORDASITY TO CLAIM LEGAL AID ON MY BEHALF. I AM STILL RESEARCHING HOW TO HAVE THAT FUNDING WITHDRAWN!
THANKYOU VERY MUCH FOR YOU LACK OF REPRESENTATION SHABANA, IT IS JUST FORTUNATE THAT I WAS NOT PAYING FOR YOUR SERVICES OUT OF MY OWN POCKET, YET TOU HAVE DARED TO GIVE YOUR OPINION ABOUT UNFAIR REPRESENTATION OF PEOPLE WHO ARE REPRESENTED BY VIDEO LINK DOUBLE STANDARDS ME THINKS!
THAKYOU FOR ALSO RUINING MY CHANCES OF A PROFESSIONAL CAREER AS I HAVE RECENTLY COMPLETED MY DEGREE.
