This company lied and helped police set me up hi again mr Stubbs now let me tell you something this company moto is immoral practices they pretended from the beginning that they were decent honest solicitors wow what dishonesty not only did they let police Ill treat my dog help themselves to my property smash my place apart and they didn’t even have any evidence????? They let them set me up with hysterical bail conditions fit for someone else who’s asleep I had no idea this company any solicitors could be so immoral ! If you’ve got any sense keep well away from these solicitors or you’ll be sorry! No wonder they are the biggest or claim to be because so many of their clients are in jail more money ! I’d rather walk over hot coals than even look at their solicitors! Outrageous behaviour from solicitors! You expect it from police but solicitors! Talk about backstabbing! No just set clients up ! Then hold their case so no other solicitor can touch it ! Good I was on to the traitorous sly service well in advance but you might not be so lucky or a relative couldn’t work out how police could get away with so much! Glad I could be of service! Well better than the service I got and I’m not setting anyone up! Be wise never ever pick Murray’s

This wasn't my original solicitors after bern with my old one some 10 years..I decided on this firm to get a fresh pair of eyes on my case... What an amazing firm.especially leanne preston the trainee solicitor..who I can see going very far in her career..the barristers abigail lenart and seranah.who acted with extreme professionalism,compassion and experience. were amazing in the court room..I could not of asked for anything better and my child contact order was approved.. .they acted on all my wishes and requests and allowed me to be part of preparing statements...leanne was very thorough and checked with me before submitting and was kept up to date with everything..she is a credit to James murrays firm.i personallythank you for you listening to my many tears also ...they are a fabulous team..who id highly recommend...thank you for all you have done..sophia

I met Joe for the first when representing me in court case regarding arrears on my mortgage We didn’t judge listened and provide reassurance. He clearly knew what need to be done and as 100% professional during the whole process. When in the room you could tell that Joe is highly thought of and respected in the industry and from my experience couldn’t say any different thank you so much and would definitely recommend them

As others have said, Mr Elliot Smallshaw (who has since left in 2025) and the partner Mr Lee Massingham are not competent solicitors. They lie to you, they refuse to answer phone calls and emails, they miss crucial deadlines for filing cases at the court, they fail to get your case assessed by a barrister for years, and worst of all, they repeatedly accuse you of lying because they take what the other side says at face-value, even if you have CCTV or mobile phone footage. They are not worth anyone's time, they will destroy any case you have by their inability to meet the simplest of deadlines or carry out the simplest of tasks expected of a solicitor. Tell them to get disclosure and provide it to you? Forget it, they will ignore you. Repeat your request a few weeks later? They will accuse you of being difficult and drop you as a client because of 'a breakdown of trust'. Complain about their service? You will be dropped immediately as a client for the same reason. They have numerous complaints outstanding against their firm at the Solicitors' Regulation Authority and Legal Ombudsman, and numerous cases of Professional Negligence they are defending in civil courts as I write this, my own included. They make up excuses for dropping your case that your opponent doesn't even rely on or plead in their defence - for example, they will say 'you have other convictions, therefore this case will not succeed in our opinion' which is simply false - courts judge cases on their merits, they don't judge other cases except the one they are doing now. I am suing them for loss of chance for £200k now, and I am going to take it all the way to court to make them apologise and compensate me. Do NOT use this firm for anything - not for criminal defence, not for suing the police, conveyancing or anything else, unless you want to end up poorer and like being lied to by lazy, borderline-criminal frauds.

Joseph represented me in a housing case and he was very reassuring and knowledgeable and his expertise got the result I was hoping for.
