If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate situation of a Regulatory Investigation, then I can 100% say, with certainty, Mr Jonathan Goodwin is your man. Without going into the crux of what I was under scrutiny for, an investigation by the SRA was underway and I came across Mr Goodwin online. I had contacted numerous other Regulatory Solicitors before even approaching Mr Goodwin but I was not comfortable with their approach of being another file number. When I did eventually contact him, I just knew he was the man I wanted and needed on my side! From the outset of explaining my case, Mr Goodwin showed compassion, professionalism and care in how to navigate the investigation against me. He spent time in having a preliminary review of the investigation and allegations against me by the SRA and advised me clearly, on what steps should be taken in a systematic and clear manner. Mr Goodwin provides a very tailored and 1-1 service and you really feel valued as a client. Throughout my case, I quickly learnt that Mr Goodwin is extremely well versed in the way he explains things and does so in a natural and easy to follow manner. Representing me for almost a year, he always addressed each point whether by email or on the phone, so well that I literally always got the answers that I needed or wanted. Mr Goodwin clearly knows the Regulatory sector and dealing with the SRA and SDT very well. The second thing Mr Goodwin was able to provide was experience which is unmatched. As Mr Goodwin has previously worked as a Prosecutor, he was and knew the mindset of the other side and knew exactly how to handle and tactfully deal with the SRA and their Solicitors. Without exaggeration, his tactful approach saved me costs of £67,000 which the SRA were minded to pursue against me. This in itself, is a testament to Mr Goodwin and his exceptional level of expertise. Finally, Mr Goodwin was able to achieve for me, the BEST POSSIBLE outcome that could have been achieved in the circumstances that I found myself in. I cannot exaggerate on this point but to say that what the SRA's case was to what the conclusion was, was ferociously worlds apart. And that is due to Mr Goodwin. To conclude, no one wants to find them in a situation where they are having to defend their position before the Tribunal or face a Regulatory investigation of any nature but if you are in this position, I would hand on heart, strongly recommend instructing Mr Goodwin to fight your corner. 11/10 from me!
