I went to JNP legal about a defamation case. I paid £600 before they would even see me. I seen Rebecca. We had a meeting that lasted about 30 minutes, she gave me a freedom of information request form to fill in. Had a reply from the police it was 95% redacted. Totally unacceptable. Took it to the solicitor office where they photocopied it. It took 2 weeks for Rebecca to phone me. 10 minutes phone call just t say she can’t do anything. What a waste of £600. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We honestly couldn’t have got through the past two years without Lavinia from JNP Solicitors in Merthyr Tydfil and Ross McQuillan-Johnson from Apex Chambers, Cardiff. From day one, they were absolutely incredible — guiding us through every step, explaining every possible option and outcome in detail, and always making sure we understood everything clearly. Both Lavinia and Ross are so down to earth and work brilliantly together. They made us feel at ease and reassured at a time when our whole world felt like it could fall apart. After a stupid, drunken, and completely out-of-character decision that led to a GBH Section 20 charge — something that could have easily split our family apart for a long time — having these two in our corner was a godsend. Even after my husband’s guilty plea, when the likelihood of prison was high, Lavinia and Ross worked tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome — and thanks to their dedication and professionalism, he received a community order instead. We never once felt like we were just another case to them; they genuinely cared, went above and beyond, and fought our corner every step of the way. We would 100% recommend this duo — not only are they exceptional at what they do, but they’re also genuinely compassionate, down-to-earth people who make a real difference. My representative was amazing throughout my entire situation, possibly the worst four moths of my life with a lot of uncertainty Lavinia was absolutely amazing.
