I can't recommend Mark Hood highly enough. Going through a divorce is hard enough on its own, and I was also dealing with post service mental health difficulties at the time. Mark understood that from the outset. He never made me feel like a burden or like I was slowing things down, and he took the time to make sure I actually understood what was happening at each stage. As a veteran himself, Mark brought something extra to the table. He has an excellent working knowledge of the Armed Forces pension schemes, which is an area a lot of solicitors simply don't grasp, and that made a real difference to how my case was handled. He also clearly understands the military mindset and the pressures that come with service life and being a veteran. I never had to explain myself twice. He does a great deal to support other veterans going through the same thing, and it shows. What stood out most was his kindness. He was patient when I needed things explained again, and he always checked in on how I was coping rather than just pushing the case forward. His advice was clear, sensible and well judged, and more than once he offered a perspective that helped me see things differently. I honestly don't think I would have got through the process without his support. Thank you, Mark.

Having previously used Pardoes, and been happy with the service, we thought we would ask for a transfer of equity and possible deed of trust in April. Was told that my partner also had to register as he was paying into property. Gave a £200 deposit and an estimate for just over £1000 plus £660 for the deed of trust. Took documents to our local office (Taunton) only to find it had closed! Drove to Bridgwater and the office had moved twice so, eventually found it. At the end of June we informed them that we were in a position to proceed but, the person dealing with this had left and we were allocated another person in Yeovil! Assuming all was well, no! , we received an email from Yeovil to say that they couldn’t act for my partner and he would need another solicitor to act for him. Why weren’t we told this from the beginning!!! This has added yet more costs to the process taking the joint spend to nearly £3000!!! Also received another email during this fiasco to tell us that our contact person in Bridgwater had left the company so, that’s two different people dealing with the case who have moved on!! Was then given another estimate of costs for over £2000 which included paying off the mortgage (this had already happened) so we questioned why the estimate included bank admin fees, redemption fees and telegraphic fees. Initially was told to ignore the redemption fees but, after questioning this, was told that the redemption fee and telegraphic fee would not be charged if the mortgage had been discharged. Nothing about the bank admin fee and several hundred pounds to send a transfer document over to the community management company (our home is freehold) although we had already paid the £175 fee for the management company for the change of name. We are now so completely dissatisfied with how we have been treated, we have asked for the return of our deposit. Not once have we received any advice, and certainly no clear explanation of the estimated cost. It’s just been a money making process for Pardoes and we would not recommend them or use them again.

I would like to thank the amazy Yseult Fell of the yeovil branch for taking us through the purchase and sale here in Wiltshire to Dorset. She has treated us with such professionalism and has given us a smooth experience of what could have been a nightmare. Thank you Izzy, you are amazing . Pardoes are so lucky to have you.

Molly Guest was so professional and supportive during the case she was working on for me , she really gets real life situations and actually cares about the people she is helping. Molly Could tell when I was getting stressed and upset , she was so down to earth and her advise was amazing 👏. Yesterday, 11th August 2026, I contacted this Company and a very pleasant Receptionist listened patiently and attentively to my enquiry, and then assured me someone would call me back, but as this was around 4pm I assumed that callback would be later in the week, but at 1815 that same evening I received a call from a young woman at Pardoes named Jesse who is a Trainee, obviously working long hours, but she listened to me, and detailed my options and offered very helpful advice. Her call lifted me no end to what had been a continuing challenging, and frustrating day of many. Jesse is knowledgeable and has a calm demeanour and I wish her every success in her future in what is a very demanding career choice. Thank you anonymous receptionist, and thank you Jesse, and thank you Pardoes for having caring and very pleasant staff.

We have just had the most amazing conveyancing service by Izzy Fell. She has thoroughly "looked after us" . She treated us with care, understanding and humour throughout our sale and purchase.
