Trying to collect a will
I rang last week to arrange to collect a will today Monday. The other executor lives away so they were asked to email giving consent. On arrival I was told the person I had spoken to was on holiday, I explained the conversation last week etc and that everything should be in place, to be met with negativity. This was eventually resolved but not without me having to reiterate the situation. Poor communication and not great, no compassion when clearly someone is recently bereaved. I had a poor experience with these solicitors last year when I needed to use a POA and it had been signed by a paralegal which wasn’t acceptable to the financial institution, the did verify it and told there would be no charge ! This is despite paying £1000’s for the POA to be drawn up it was almost like they were doing me a favour. Safe to say they won’t be getting my business to sort the estate out
