Wadsworths Solicitors are a family-run solicitors acting in the best interests of our customers and their families for nearly 40 years. Wadsworths Solicitors was proudly established in Shirley, Solihull, in October 1986 by Stephen Wadsworth, who dedicated nearly three decades to building the firm’s reputation for exceptional legal services. Stephen ran the practice until 2010, when his son, John Wadsworth, became a Director and Shareholder, bringing a new generation of leadership to the firm. In February 2015, after 28 years of commitment, Stephen retired, leaving behind a thriving practice built on his strong values of trust, integrity, and client care. Today, Wadsworths is led by four Directors: John Wadsworth, Alexandra Tait, Michael Wadsworth, and Gemma Dempsey, who continue to uphold the firm’s founding principles. To better serve our growing client base, we expanded our presence by opening two additional offices in Henley-in-Arden and Tamworth in 2020, ensuring greater accessibility to legal services across the West Midlands and beyond.

    Gemma from Wadsworths was brilliant from beginning to the end of the process. Gemma was always available by email or telephone and were regularly updated regarding what was happening in the house chain throughout. There were times which gave us some stress but this was caused by a solicitor further down the chain. Gemma sensed our anxiety regarding this and made it her mission to smooth out everything she could, often by chasing/asking for updates from the solicitor concerned. I would personally like to thank Gemma and Wadsworths for all of their help during one of lifes more stressful times.

    I highly recommend this firm and Michael, in particular. Personally I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have used this firm twice now. Once for creating power of attorney documents and secondly, for advice about a will. Michael is friendly, patient and down-to-earth as well as being an excellent solicitor.     My mother intrusted this firm to deal with her LPO in May 2018 when she had capacity & paid thousands to have this and the medical LPO done, only to find out 7 years later it when it was needed that they had not been submitted the documents to the OPG, we had to go back in sign some more forms, pay a few hundred more pounds to finish the process. We have since found out from the Dementia nurse you can pay £100 and do it yourself!

    Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very sorry to hear of the concerns raised in relation to your mother’s Lasting Power of Attorney. As you are aware, when the LPA’s were initially prepared by your Mother, she chose not to register at the time. We were recently instructed to register the LPA with the Office of the Public Guardian and therefore further documentation needed to be resigned. During the registration process, issues arose due to the Office of the Public Guardian having misplaced one of the original documents. This meant we needed to provide them with a certified copy and ask you to sign the additional forms required to complete the registration. We appreciate how frustrating this situation has been for you and your family, particularly given the length of time that has passed since the documents were originally prepared and the decision at the time not to proceed with registration. We would very much welcome the opportunity to discuss this in more detail and address any outstanding concerns you may have. If you would like to arrange a meeting with Mike to talk through the matter, please contact us and we will be happy to organise this. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are committed to resolving this with you.

      My experience of my Victoria was good. She kept me informed & answered all questions I asked. Although I felt the correspondence was slow I believe all probate is like that as a lot of the time before replying they're waiting for a third party answer.
